So stumbled on this unassuming taco place and was amazed! Our son has been recommending we should try Birria tacos which I have never heard of. Taco Lucas has them and they are going to be a new binge taco dish for us! For one, everything is fresh made-including the salsa which has a nice kick! The star of the show was the Birria taco which we learned from the manager is a slow cooked chuck roast with a bunch of spices along with Serrano and habenero peppers. The meat then is chopped up and put into a cheese laced corn tortilla and crisped up. Then they give you the broth to dip the taco in. Their broth is thick, full of fresh flavors but not spicy. We also had a carnitas and Carne asada taco which were superb. Generous meat portions with good seasoning. Since they make each taco to order, expect to wait longer than Taco Bell! But hey it’s worth the wait!

**mouth watering tacos** This restaurant is something in a good way. Passed by it a lot of times and was curious about it. Went inside to try, very clean. The inside looked like a mexican restaurant. The menu is in english and the person who took our order was very experienced. Got our food, and the first bite I took from the taco, shattered my expectations beyond all reason. The pictures say it all and I was amazed overall. If you want some great tacos to go or to dine in, come to tacos Lucas. You won't be dissatisfied.

Unassuming location, viva sabor! Came across this place driving around the area. From the outside looks like just another mexican style restaurant. But I saw people making an effort to get food there based on lack of other reason to be nearby. Walking in and looking at the atmosphere, the decor for chairs and tables seems traditional, like what I would find in that part of the world. Walking up to the counter a very nice older lady, who looks like she just scolded her kids for not cleaning up good enough, takes my order. I can see on her face the years of hard work and home-made-ness that she has put into this restaurant. So from that point I was confident I chose a good place. I ordered a few tacos - birria and al pastor. And some flan because that's my favorite dessert that my mother makes. When I opened up the box after getting back to my room I saw the nice grill marks on the tortillas, looks soft but it was a little crispy - very good. The meat looked well seasoned and braised and cheese melty. I opened the birria dipping sauce and dunked it in there like 90s Shaq. Aye dios mio, the combination of the two were perfect, not all drippy like you see on TV that people do in Los Angeles but it was more like a thick salsa. The taco and the sauce were very good by themselves but when powers combined, it brought it to an elite level. The tortilla did not disintegrate and the spice level was a good mild. Onions and cilantro were also mild and cool fresh. The al pastor taco was good too but I was just blown away by that point. Easily would go back there any day, yes even on overplayed taco Tuesdays. The tacos I imagine is what I would be fed if I had a Mexican grandmother. So homemade, so simple, so traditional, so good. A lot of restaurants now pay homage to street tacos and some restaurants get fancy and exotic with the ingredients that end up being $6/per but The kicker is they kept their prices low at $3/per. Not even taco bell sells it that cheap for equivalent ingredients. The flan was thick, jiggly, and solid. Not as sweet as I'm used to but still a nice dessert pairing with spicy tacos. Thank you so much Taco Lucas! Taco Bamba is good but you have the comfort food aspect that is rare to replicate.

Really good home made food. The wait time was like 15min which was not bad for three people, the food came out hot and delicious. The food tasted fresh and well made. There was plenty of parking; hint: you order food first then sit yourself down and they bring you your food also refills are not free but it's only .50 cents. Staff and atmosphere were nice and very kind, please be patient in food wait.

I have passed this restaurant more than a dozen times over the years, but I never had the opportunity to come in and give it a try. Since I was already in the neighborhood I figured that I would check it out for a quick bite to eat. They have plenty of options here when it comes to Mexican food, but I went for the basic tacos which is what I'm more familiar with. I ordered 2 basic tacos which were $3.00 each and a small fountain drink. The tacos were delicious, however not the biggest tacos that I've seen. I will definitely need to eat later on this evening, which I had planned on anyway. The employee behind the counter who took my order was friendly, and he was the same person who brought the food to my table.

Delicious tacos and drinks, at extremely reasonable prices. Best tacos in the area! We got 2 pupusas, 3 tamales, and 3 tacos + a drink for under $25. Birria tacos were full of cheese and the sauce was delicious. The tamales were delicious, everything was great! I also got a maranon drink and flan to go.

41 Degrees outside, driving up and down Richmond Highway looking for good food because that’s what I do. So I decide to give this place a try because I’ve seen it busy while driving by and said to myself it’s typically places like this that have the best food. Let me tell you, they DID NOT miss! Joel, the kind gentleman at counter was very polite and professional. He gave me background to the culture behind the food and even gave me hot sauce (delicious) and their homemade ketchup which was surprisingly good too. I got the steak and cheese sandwich and it had BITE! A lil spicy but definitely what the weatherman ordered. I crushed the hot sauce on top of the sandwich that had peppers in it. I also got the pork and cheese papusa , I give it a 9 out of 10. All that was lacking was more pork lol. I even got the El Salvadorian Quesadilla - which was freshly made earlier before I arrived. Overall I had a great experience and plan to return for completely different dishes. The pictures don’t serve this place justice. I would absolutely recommend.
